MoveBON endorsed by GEO BON to bring animal movement data into global biodiversity monitoring and policy.

Exciting news! MoveBON, a new global network co-led by the Smithsonian, WWF’s WILDLABS, the Max Planck Institute, NASA JPL, and Senckenberg, has been officially endorsed by GEO BON for its pioneering work integrating animal movement data into global biodiversity monitoring and conservation policy! 

Bringing together over 50 organizations worldwide, MoveBON is transforming how movement data informs the protection of life on Earth. 

IBioLS has played a key role in this achievement, contributing to the network’s development and leading key initiatives such as the Data Standards Working Group to strengthen global biodiversity conservation.
